Financial Planning is Necessary

We all have financial requirements - it could be investment or retirement planning, the creation of trusts, mortgage debt or tax planning say. Alternatively it might be for a particular need, school fees, say. Whatever the requirement the right solution is normally to combine an acceptable level of risk with what is affordable and appropriate. This is, for the most part, the solution individuals and companies seek however this is easier said than done.

There are always variables; personal circumstances change, taxation policy varies and, of course, economic circumstances in the wider sense are very fluid. By taking actions which are acceptable in terms of risk appropriate answers can be found.

Without correct financial planning it is most likely that ones future circumstances will be more testing than might otherwise have been the case. As an example ideally an effective financial plan should not ignore those matters over which, for the most part, we have no real control - this might include unforeseen illness, difficulties in a particular investment asset class or enforced early retirement say, clearly the list could go on.

Our Independence

AFS Financial Management from outset when established in 1981 took an independent stance. In 1981 the company were members of NASDIM and with the advent of financial services regulation in 1986, became regulated by FIMBRA, then the PIA and since 2001 the FSA. This has largely mirrored the development of UK regulatory framework.

The company provides a wide range of services having available contacts with the major fund managers, banks, lenders, insurers and other financial institutions. In addition, the company has established links with legal, accountancy, stockbroking, actuarial and other relevant professional operatives.
